This book, by Nancy Mohrbacher and Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, is the one I recommend most often to mothers. Their web site provides a lot of information about their "Seven natural laws of breastfeeding" and an animated video of an asymmetric latch-on.

- American Academy of Pediatrics
The AAP Policy on Breastfeeding recommends exclusive breastfeeding for six months and continuing (along with solids) for at least the first year, and thereafter as long as the mother desires. Go directly to the Policy on Breastfeeding.
